Frequently Asked Questions
Fishing Licenses?
Each member of your party must purchase a Tidal Water Fishing License with a Salmon Stamp in advance of your charter. It must be printed and brought with you on the day of your trip.
Licenses are purchased online through the government National Recreational Licensing System. Please ensure you bring a printed copy of your license with you to the boat. Food & beverages?
Bring any food and drinks you would like to enjoy during the trip. You are welcome to help yourself to the bottled water we have on board at any time.
Where do we meet the boats?
For your convenience, we have two meeting location options. Our primary location is at Rocky Point in Port Moody. Alternatively, you can choose to meet the boats next to Lonsdale Quay in North Vancouver. Both are accessible by transit and have local parking options.
What should I wear?
The weather can vary when on the water. You can anticipate it will be cooler than onshore. Dressing in layers is always a good idea and allows you to easily "de-layer" as the day warms up. Bring a hat, sunglasses, sunscreen, and lip balm. Footwear should have non-marking soles.

Things NOT TO bring on the boat?
Please do not bring glass bottles, styrofoam coolers, or coolers with wheels. If you have any questions, give us a call.
How do we get our catch home?
Bring a medium sized cooler with ice packs and leave it in your vehicle. We put your catch on ice when it comes on board. We'll then clean and bag it for you. Transferring the days catch to your chilled cooler will ensure it stays fresh for the trip home.
Sea Sickness?
Our local waters are usually calm but there's always the possibility of wind or choppy water during the day. If you are prone to sea or motion sickness, it's worth considering an anti-nausea treatment (ex. Gravol) a few hours prior to boarding the boat on the morning of your trip. Anti-nausea treatments do not work if you wait until you feel ill before taking them. They need to be in your system well in advance in order to be effective. You've planned this experience for a while so why not make sure you enjoy it!
